Police officers of Noapara police station were felicitated on 77th Independence Day.

On 15th August 2023, Barrackpore Shyamnagar Social Workers and Human Rights Association gave a special felicitation to Police Officers working in Noapara Police Station on the occasion of 77th Independence Day. Once in the past the national hero Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was imprisoned for some days by the then British government in this Noapara police station. Even today, a full-faced statue of Netaji is erected here in memory of him. The event started by garlanding Netaji’s statue on the auspicious occasion of Independence Day. Second Officer Mr. Tamal Das and PC Head Mr. Islam Babu Mahashay inaugurated the ceremony by felicitating Netaji. Shri Gopal Saw, Smt. Krishna Sarkar, Pyu Ghosh, Swapan Jaiswara, Sujoy Dutta, Sudhir Bhagat, Bapi Sen, Diana Di, Montu Da and other members of the Sanghatan of Shyamnagar Social Workers and Human Rights Association in Barrackpore participated in this function.

Present Officer-In-Charge Sri Partha Sarathi Majumdar of Noapara police station is honored by Garlands, Sweets and Uttariya. Officer-In-Charge Mr. Partha Sarthi Majumdar is a very honest, decent and sensitive person. With great dedication and neutrality, he is doing his work alongside the people of his police station. On this day, he mentioned in his short speech – “It is very necessary to remove the fear of the common people towards the police. The less the communication distance and fear between the police and the common people, the easier it will be to maintain law and order”.
